PolaParla

End-User Terms

Version 1.1 – 24 August 2026

In short

PolaParla Broadcast helps you follow an event in your chosen language. Interpretation is AI-generated and may contain errors or delay. Verify critical or unclear information with the organiser.

1. Application

These Terms apply to a participant using PolaParla Broadcast through a link, QR code or room code supplied by the organiser. The Customer organisation independently operates the SaaS Service and creates and manages the session. PolaVuo Oy supplies the Service, while the organiser is responsible for the occasion, its content, distribution of access information and participant instructions.

2. AI-generated interpretation

The Service uses AI to convert the speaker's speech into live text and, at the user's option, synthetic speech. Output may contain errors, omissions, mistranslations, inappropriate wording or delay. It is not a certified interpretation service.

3. Access

The user receives a personal and limited right to access the Broadcast room created by the organiser for the relevant occasion. Links and room codes may not be shared with unauthorised persons. PolaVuo or the organiser may restrict access for misuse, security risks or capacity limits.

4. Prohibited use

The Service may not be used unlawfully, to infringe rights, disrupt the Service, bypass safeguards, reverse engineer or create automated load. Interpretation may not be recorded, published, retransmitted, sold or used to create a separate content service without all required permissions.

5. Critical information

Do not rely on interpretation as the sole basis for safety or emergency instructions, medical, legal or financial advice, official communications or other significant decisions. Verify unclear or critical information against the original speech or with the organiser.

6. Devices and volume

The user is responsible for their device, browser, connectivity and headphones. Set volume to a safe level before starting playback. Backgrounding, locking, power-saving settings and calls may interrupt audio.

7. Content processing

PolaParla Broadcast does not persistently store source audio, transcripts or translations or use them to train AI models. Content is processed transiently only to produce live interpretation. Further information is in the Privacy Notice.

8. Intellectual property

PolaVuo and its licensors own the Service, software, interface, documentation and related rights. Rights in event content belong to the organiser, speakers or other rightsholders. Access does not transfer ownership of the Service or content.

9. Availability and liability

PolaVuo seeks to provide the Service with due care, but it may be interrupted or delayed by the user's device, network, browser or an external technical service. PolaVuo is not responsible for event content or the organiser's conduct. Mandatory rights and liability are not excluded.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by Finnish law. Mandatory user rights and the competent court under applicable law are unaffected. Service enquiries: contact@polavuo.com. Questions concerning event content or participation should be addressed to the organiser.
